Course of the road

The British Columbia Highway 33 connects in British Columbia the community Rock Creek with the City of Kelowna . The highway has a length of 129 km and runs for long stretches parallel to Highway 97 , into which it then also flows in Kelowna.

Route

In Rock Creek, the highway branches off Highway 3 , the Crowsnest Highway , in a northerly direction. It follows the valley of the Kettle River northwards. At the mouth of the West Kettle River , he follows it. After 48 km, the route reaches the only significant settlement on the entire route, Beaverdell . The road continues north. Northwest of Big White Mountain , which is the center of Big White Ski Resort , the highway turns west to follow the valley of Mission Creek . At Black Mountain, a suburb of Kelowna, it leaves the valley of the stream and runs first north, then west again. The highway ends as a junction with Highway 97 in Kelowna.
