Mobile search unit

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mobile search units ( MFE ) in Germany are the operational components of the Federal Police Inspections to Fight Crime (BPOLI KB).

The police officers in this unit basically work undercover . They observe people and objects (houses, apartments, etc.) and carry out all other operational tasks for BPOLI KB, including covert technical surveillance. For this purpose, technical aids are available that go beyond the normal equipment of a federal police station. Mobile search units also arrest people. The planned access by an MFE occurs surprisingly for the arrested person from his / her movement, i.e. mostly from a mobile position (driving / running perpetrator). Her tasks also include covert searches with the aim of executing arrest warrants and preparing for witness protection .

MFEs belong to the special forces of the federal police . This means that civil servants receive a hardship allowance for their work in accordance with Section 22 EZulV .

The officers of the MFE are trained for their work both at some of the training and further education centers of the Federal Police , as well as at other authorities whose tasks include covert operational measures.

The official abbreviation after the regulation BRAS 009 is: BPOLMFE.
