This is a list of cities in Lebanon . By far the largest agglomeration in Lebanon is Beirut with a population of 1,953,359 (as of January 1, 2005). This means that 44 percent of the country's people live in the capital region.
The following table contains the cities with more than 6,000 inhabitants, their names in German transcription and in Arabic, the results of the census of November 15, 1970 and a calculation for January 1, 2005. The government to which the Town belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
