The Moby Dick Icefall ( Polish Lodowiec Moby Dicka ) is a glacial break on the east coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows into the head end of Destruction Bay .
Participants in a Polish Antarctic expedition named him in 1981 after the famous white whale from Herman Melville's 1851 novel Moby-Dick .
