Modern Men is a 2006 American sitcom that aired on The WB . Since the beginning of September 2008, the series has also been running on German television on Comedy Central Germany, after it was also translated into Portuguese .

The friends Doug ( Eric Lively ), Kyle ( Max Greenfield ) and Tim ( Josh Braaten ), who have known each other from early childhood, have one problem in common: No luck in love. Tim is always in relationships, but they don't last longer than a few weeks. Kyle visits new women night after night, but it doesn't turn out to be more than a simple one night stand and Doug hasn't had any contact with the opposite sex since his divorce.
The three friends know that they will not be happy in the long run and therefore hope for help from the very successful life coach Dr. Victoria Stangle ( Jane Seymour ). This always gives them tips and tasks that they should carry out. These are carried out by the three with more or less the desired results and the consequences are great disasters that cause even more problems than were already there.

Modern Men first aired in Germany on September 22, 2008, two years after its premiere in America on June 14, 2006. Modern Men premiered on Comedy Central Germany around the same time as the distantly similar sitcom Twins. After seven episodes, the series was canceled in America, the episodes are repeated on German television.
