Max Greenfield
Max Greenfield (born September 4, 1980 in Dobbs Ferry , New York ) is an American actor .
Life
Greenfield was born in 1980 in Dobbs Ferry, New York and grew up there. In 1998 he graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School .
His first appearance in television was Greenfield 1999 in MTV - TV series Undressed - Who with whom? . This was followed by guest appearances of one episode each on the series Boston Public , Gilmore Girls , Sleeper Cell , OC, California , Life and Kath & Kim . From 2005 to 2007 he played the role of Deputy Leo D'Amato in 11 of 64 episodes of The CW television series Veronica Mars .
However, his best-known role is that of Schmidt in New Girl , which he has played since 2011. For this role he was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe . In 2015 he starred as Gabriel in three episodes of the fifth season of American Horror Story .
Greenfield has been married to casting director Tess Sanchez since 2008. The couple have a daughter born in 2010 and a son born in 2015.
