Seyyed Mohammad-Reza Chātamī (* 1959 in Ardakan ; Persian محمد رضا خاتمی, also: Reza Khatami ) is an Iranian politician.

Mohammad-Reza Chātamī studied medicine and practiced nephrology for several years, with a focus on kidney diseases . In 1983 he married Zahra Eshraghi , the granddaughter of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini .

From 1997 to August 8, 2006, he was the first general secretary of the largest reformist party in Iran, the Participation Front of Islamic Iran . Today he is a member of the party's central committee. He is the younger brother of the former president and reformer Mohammad Chātami .

In the 2000 parliamentary elections was Mohammad-Reza Khatami with 1,794,365 votes as election winners of the district Tehran to the Iranian Parliament Majlis elected. Before that, he was Vice Minister in the Ministry of Health for two years and in charge of the reform newspaper Mosharekat, which has now been banned .
