Mohammad Alirezaei Dizicheh ( listen ? / I ; * July 27, 1985 in Isfahan ; PersianAudio file / audio sample محمد علیرضایی دیزیچه) is an Iranian breaststroke swimmer .

Mohammad Alirezaei Dizicheh qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing . This made him the first Iranian to take part in an Olympic swimming competition without a wild card . On August 9, 2008, he was admitted to a hospital in Beijing before the 100-meter breaststroke swim and did not compete.

According to official information, illness was the reason for this measure, and the media pointed out many times that Alirezaei did not start because of the participation of Israeli Tom Beeri . It would have been the first direct sporting conflict between Iran and Israel since the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
