Mohammadreza Mirzaei

Mohammadreza Mirzaei (* 1986 in Tehran , Iran) is an Iranian photographer known for his minimalist photos.

Career

Mirzaei's artistic career began with studying graphic design at the IRIB Art School in Tehran , which he began at the age of 15. However, he quickly discovered photography for himself and concentrated his work on this area.

His main sources of inspiration were the works of Luigi Ghirri . Mirzaei's photos mostly have a strong graphic component and show a special use of negative space, which is why he is generally referred to as a minimalist .

His photo series Humans , created in 2006, was presented in two exhibitions in Iran and Turkey . The series has also been made available to the public at a number of art exhibitions in Australia and Italy .

Michael Kenna praised Mirzaei's photo series with the words: “Mr. Mirazei gives us the opportunity to quietly reflect on the meaning of our existence with reserved sensitivity. This is a worthy thought and this is a worthy set of photographs. "
