Mohammed Al-Owais ( Arabic محمد العويس, DMG Muḥammad al-ʿUwais ; * October 10, 1991 in al-Hasa ) is a Saudi Arabian soccer goalkeeper who is currently under contract with al-Ahli .

Career

Al-Owais began his football career with the Saudi Arabian first division club al-Shabab . In the 2013/14 season he won the King Cup with his club . Five years later he moved to al-Ahli .

National team

Since 2015 he has also played for the Saudi Arabian national team . In 2018 he was appointed to the squad for the World Cup in summer 2018 by his former national coach Juan Antonio Pizzi . On June 20, 2018, he played in the second game of the group stage against Uruguay , where he owed one goal. Saudi Arabia lost the game 1-0 and was eliminated early.
