Mohammed Bin Rashid City

The Mohammed Bin Rashid City , also called MBR City , is to become a new “city within the city” in Dubai . It bears the name of the Emir of Dubai Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum , who is also the builder.

MBR City is a project being implemented by Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding.

It will include the following sections:

  • Dubai Hills : A new ultra-luxury residential area on an 18-hole golf course
  • Mall of the World : The Mall of the World is set to become the largest shopping mall in the world
  • An amusement park: The amusement park is being built together with Universal Studios
  • MBR Garden: A city park that is said to be 30% larger than Hyde Park in London
  • 100 hotels and other facilities for tourists
  • Galleries and other artistic facilities and exhibition space
  • Housing for around 80,000 to 100,000 people

MBR City is expected to cost around $ 80 billion and include the existing Downtown Dubai and Business Bay areas .
