Mohibullah Khan

Mohibullah Khan is a retired Pakistani squash player .

Career

Mohibullah Khan was successful as a squash player between 1974 and 1980 and achieved his highest ranking in the world rankings with second place in February 1976. In the same year he was in the final of the British Open in London , which also counted as the first World Cup . He lost this against Geoff Hunt with 9: 7, 4: 9, 10: 8, 2: 9 and 2: 9.

In 1980 he was caught importing cannabis into the UK . He said he was forced to do so by Pakistani criminals, but the court did not believe him. Since he did not plead guilty and did not mention the names of the criminals, he received an eight-year prison sentence, which he served in full.

Mohibullah Khan should not be confused with Mo Khan , the squash player of the same name from the 1960s. His brother Jansher Khan was also a squash player and was world champion eight times.
