Mohsen Shadi Naghdeh

Mohsen Shadi Naghdeh (born June 4, 1988 in Naghadeh ) is a former Iranian rower in the discipline of one and two Olympic athletes.

The 191 cm tall and 72 kg heavy rower won Iran's very first medal in this sport on the international stage at the U23 World Championships in Brandenburg in 2008 . He finished second in the lightweight one behind Graham Oberlin-Brown from New Zealand .

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he was fifth in the run-up to the one in the open weight class, thus qualifying for the semifinal race for places 25 to 36, which he won with nine seconds ahead of the second participant. On August 14th, 2008 he entered the E-final - in this final run places 25 to 30 are determined - and finished second: 26th place in the final table.

In 2009 he became U23 world champion in the lightweight single and finished twelfth in this boat class at the world championships in Poznan . In 2010 he was again U23 world champion in Brest . During his second Olympic participation in London in 2012 , he started again in the one of the open weight classes and finished 22nd.
