Moigno is a small impact crater on the northeastern edge of the moon's front . It lies between the Neison craters in the northwest and Arnold craters in the northeast. The crater rim is heavily eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French mathematician and physicist François Napoléon Marie Moigno .
