The “Home Safe” network is a non-profit association based in Münster , which is committed to improving burglary and fire protection. As a public private partnership, this bundles the competencies of police authorities , craft organizations , craft businesses and companies from industry , services and the insurance sector .

history

The network "home safe" was launched on April 20, 2005 as a regulatory partnership by 21 partners in Münster . The management took over first volunteer , the Chamber of Trade Münster .

By 2007 the network had grown considerably, so that full-time management was necessary. This means that on June 20, 2007, the “home-safe” network was established. V., which has since been entered in the register of associations at the Münster District Court and recognized as a non-profit organization.

At present, over 400 partners across Germany are participating in the “Safe at Home” network.

Network structure

The "Safe at Home" network was set up on the initiative of the police authorities to sensitize citizens to the importance of burglary protection and fire protection and to offer support on the way to a safe home - from police recommendations to behavioral and technical prevention through manual work Implementation of the recommendations up to the award of a prevention badge. In the long term, the educational work of the network partners, active security measures for citizens and the issuing of badges are intended to increase both subjective and objective security in the area of burglary protection and fire protection . The network would like to build on successful projects - such as veilig vonen ( Netherlands ) or Secured by Design ( Great Britain ) - from other European countries and implement them for Germany .
