Moische Zilberfarben
Moishe Zilberfarb (German silver color , Russian Мойше Зильберфарб , Yiddish משה זילבערפֿאַרב, born in 1876, Rivne , Russian empire , died in 1934, Otwock , Poland ) was a Jewish - Ukrainian politicians and intellectuals. He was the founder of the United Jewish Socialist Party in 1917.
Life
Moische was born in 1876 to a Jewish family in Rivne , Volyn Governorate . He was one of the leading representatives of the Jewish socialist movement "Wosroschdenije" and the Jewish Socialist Workers' Party .
After the February Revolution of 1917 he was a member of various government committees in Ukraine. In August he was the founder of the United Jewish Socialist Workers Party . After the October Revolution he was a member of the Regional Committee for Defense of the Revolution in Ukraine . In November he became Minister for Jewish Affairs of the newly independent Ukrainian People's Republic . In 1918 he became rector of the Jewish National University in Kiev .
After the dissolution of the Ukrainian People's Republic, he went to Poland in 1921 . In 1934 he died in Otwock . His grave is in Warsaw .
