Mole jazz

Mole Jazz (also Mole) was a music label for jazz founded in London in 1980 . The founders were Ed Dipple, Graham Griffiths and Peter Bould; the label was named after the founder's record store in London.

They only published musicians they liked themselves. The catalog included Gil Evans , Art Pepper / Milcho Leviev , Stan Tracey , Bill Watrous , Bud Shank and Hannibal Marvin Peterson, as well as re-releases by Tubby Hayes and Vic Lewis and unpublished items by Bobby Jaspar .

In 1986 they founded the sub-label Hot House , in which they released new recordings by Nathan Davis and Dusko Goykovich ; records by Tony Coe , Norma Winstone and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra followed later . In 1986 they also released their first CD.
