Momik ( Armenian Մոմիկ , also known as Momik Wardpet , Մոմիկ Վարդպետ; † 1333 in Noravank ) was an important Armenian architect , sculptor and illuminator who designed Gospels in the 14th century .

As an architect, Momik designed the Church of Our Lady in Areni (1321) and the Church of Our Lady in Noravank Monastery , which he did not see to be completed.

The sculptor Momik designed the sculptural decorations in Areni, presumably the lower tympanum above the entrance on the west facade of the Gawits von Noravank and several khachkars , which were often made for Armenian princely families.

In addition, he gained fame through his handwriting painting. Only four of his numerous works have survived to this day.
