Mondo Records is a record label of the Italian rapper Mondo Marcio . It was established in 2008. The independent label is distributed by Edel SE .
history
Shortly after founding, Michelle Lily signed with Mondo Records.
The label's first release was Mondo Marcio's third mixtape In cosa credi , which was released on July 11, 2008.
On October 30, 2009, Michelle Lily's first solo album, The Real Me, was released . Mondo Marcio produced all the tracks on the album alone.
At the beginning of the year on January 29th 2010 the fourth solo album by Mondo Marcio was released with the title Animale in gabbia . The album charted at number 37 on the Italian charts .
In 2011, 2 free mixtapes ( Il fumo uccide and Puoi fare di meglio ) and the mixtape Musica da serial killer were released to shorten the waiting time for Mondo Marcio's fifth solo album, which is due to be released in 2012.
On August 3, 2012, Mondo Marcio announced through his Facebook profile that his fifth solo album Cose dell'altro mondo will now be released on October 2. The first single is the song Fight Rap and was released on July 31st. At the end of August, Mondo Marcio announced on the official website that 2 more rappers ( A&R and Beng ) had been signed with Mondo Records . The second single Senza cuore and another free mixtape 4 conigli neri followed on August 31st . On September 7th, Michelle Lily Transparent's second solo album was released as a free download. Cose dell'altro mondo rose to number 2 in the Italian charts for one week in the 40th calendar week of 2012. It was the first time for the label and Mondo Marcio to jump to number 2 on the Italian album charts.
