Mondo Verde ( Italian for "Green World") is the name of an amusement park in the Dutch town of Landgraaf in the southeast of the Netherlands in the province of Limburg .

Park description

The park was built on the slope of a former mine dump and extends over an area of 25 hectares. The focus is on garden and landscape architecture from numerous countries. The countries represented are: Africa, Australia, China, England, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Austria, Portugal, Russia, Spain and a tropical area. In addition to buildings, fountains, sculptures, plants and landscaping from the themed countries, an animal park, a dinosaur park and a small amusement park, primarily with rides and attractions for children, complete the offer. Some of the park's own dining facilities offer mostly simple snacks-quality meals and refreshments. In autumn 2006, the park had to file for bankruptcy due to insufficient visitor numbers, but was able to reopen on April 1, 2007 under new management.

In 2004/2005 the park was included in the street of garden art between the Rhine and the Maas .
