Leander Dendoncker (born April 15, 1995 in Passendale ) is a Belgian football player who has played for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League since 2018 . He has also been a member of the Belgian U-21 national team since 2014 , whereupon he made his debut for the senior national team in his home country a year later .

Career

Dendoncker made his Jupiler Pro League debut on August 1, 2014 in a 2-0 away win over KV Ostend .

For the 2018/19 season, Dendoncker initially moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan in the Premier League for a year . He completed 19 Premier League games (17 in the starting XI) under head coach Nuno Espírito Santo , in which he scored 2 goals. For the 2019/20 season , Wolverhampton Wanderers finally acquired the transfer rights to Dendoncker on the basis of a purchase obligation.
