Moneyhouse operates an online reference work for Swiss commercial registers and business information under the moneyhouse.ch platform of the same name . Moneyhouse was founded in 2001 as Credita Management AG and has been offering information from the commercial register online since 2004, including information about companies and their people in management. The Moneyhouse brand has been wholly owned by Neue Zürcher Zeitung AG since the beginning of 2014 .
According to Net Metrix, the platform has around 1.2 million unique visits per month , making it one of the most visited websites in Switzerland. Two of Moneyhouse's data sources are the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (Seco) and the Federal Office for the Commercial Register Zefix . The company is based in Rotkreuz ( Risch ) in the canton of Zug , and the company is managed ad interim by Attilio Capella.

The Federal Data Protection Officer carried out a clarification of the facts at Moneyhouse between 2012 and 2014 after complaints from the population about the publication of private data. Moneyhouse implemented some of the recommendations. This involved the correctness of the data and the information and handling of requests for deletion. In May 2015, the Federal Administrative Court ruled that Moneyhouse can continue to have its data indexed by search engines. Likewise, the data required for the assessment of creditworthiness may continue to be published by private individuals.
Membership and Cost
Basic information is displayed free of charge. For example, you can search for current board members or executive board members without registering . In addition, there is the option of following two companies or persons from the commercial register using the follow function and being notified of changes. Premium membership is required in order to find out about previous management, sales and employee figures, capital and ownership structure. More detailed inquiries such as credit checks , information on payment behavior and other economic information are charged additionally.
Moneyhouse also offers its own commercial register service. Anyone who has to make changes to an entry in the commercial register can do this directly online and submit the changes. Moneyhouse checks these and prepares the necessary documents so that the changes to the entry can be made quickly and easily.
