A Mongolian dome helmet is a medieval (around 14th century) protective weapon from Mongolia .

description

The Mongolian dome helmet is usually made of iron . The helmet shell is approximately expelled and runs on top pointy. There are holes on the lower edge of the helmet that are intended for attaching a helmet well . This helmet was widespread in Asia and Europe during the time of the Golden Horde . A helmet of a similar design is the helmet of Yaroslaw Vsevolodovich , which is now kept in the Moscow Kremlin .

Preserved copies are very rare. There are different versions. Other versions do not consist of a chased sheet metal, but are made up of two separately manufactured halves, or of several strips.
