from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Monica Clay (* 1929 in Forlì ) is an Italian former actress .

Life

The striking, pretty, elegant actress played in seven films between 1951 and 1954, initially in leading roles, which, however, hardly gave her the opportunity to go beyond the figure of the decorative accessories. Her best role was probably that of Dignora Illuminato in Giuseppe De Santis ' Curse of Beauty (1953), which, however, was significantly shortened at the editing table . Clay also made an impression in Michelangelo Antonioni's The Lady Without Camellias from the same year. After seeing Ettore Manni 's wife in the war film Divisione Folgore , she turned her back on the film business.
