During her career, Monika Beu played a total of 244 times in the GDR national team, with which she was twice European champion . In 1988 she took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul , where she finished fifth. Monika Beu played for the Berlin TSC and SC Dynamo Berlin , where she was multiple GDR champion and European Cup winner .
