Monique Janotta

Monique Janotta (* 1945 in Paris ) is a French prima ballerina and ballet master who worked for 40 years in the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein until 2010 .

Career

Janotta trained as a dancer at the Académie Serge Lifar and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris . Before she started working at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in 1970, she had engagements at the Grand Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas and the Grand Ballet Classique de France. She became principal dancer and prima ballerina at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.

From 1998 to 2010 she was ballet master at the German Opera on the Rhine and trained the dancers in this function.

After the end of her active career in 2010, she gave dance lessons at the Summer Dance Weeks in the Duisburg Theater .
