The Wintrich monolith is a possible menhir in Wintrich in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

location

The stone is in the south of Wintrich on Weingartenstraße, just before it joins Bergstraße. It is not known when it was installed there. According to local residents, it has "been there forever", possibly the place where it was originally installed. A narrow path, known as the idol path, begins directly at the stone.

description

The monolith is made of quartzite . It has a height of 70 cm, a width of 40 cm and a depth of 24 cm. The stone is columnar, tapers slightly upwards and has a round top.
