Monpoint Jeune was a Haitian politician and President of Haiti .
biography
Monpoint Jeune completed a military career after completing school, during which he rose to general . As such, he helped put down a revolt against President Pierre Théoma Boisrond-Canal in March 1878 in the towns of Limonade, La Tannerie and Saint-Raphaël .
After the loss of power of President François Denys Légitime , he became the provisional president of Haiti on 23 August 1889 as chairman of the provisional government . On October 17, 1889, he was followed by Agriculture Minister Florvil Hyppolite , who had been elected President shortly before.
