The Mons amperes is the mountain on the Earth's moon , who after the French physicist in 1935 André-Marie Ampere was named. It lies on the edge of the Montes Apenninus , southeast of the small Huygens crater above the Mare Imbrium plain and has a diameter of around 30 km.
