Score by Montagnes Valdôtaines

Montagnes Valdôtaines (Eng: Mountains of the Aosta Valley ) has been the official anthem of the Italian Autonomous Region of Aosta Valley since 2006 . It was composed by Alfred Roland . Your original text did not refer to the Aosta Valley, but to the Pyrenees . It was originally called Montagnes Pyrénées (German mountains of the Pyrenees ). The poet and composer Flaminie Porté adapted the text . The song was very popular in the Aosta Valley even before it was named an anthem. This is because the piece had long been used on the regional news program La voix de la Vallée of the Italian public broadcaster Rai .

text

Montagnes valdôtaines
Vous êtes mes amours,
Hameaux, clochers, fontaines,
Vous me plairez toujours.

Rien n'est si beau que ma patrie,
Rien n'est si doux que mon amie.

Ô montagnards
Chantez en chœur de mon pays
La paix et le bonheur.

Haltelà, haltelà, haltelà
Les montagnards sont là.
