The Monte Corona is a 2144 meter high mountain in the north of Corsica . The pyramidal mountain sends a ridge to the north to the Bocca di Tartagine and to the south to the Bocca di Petrella. To the west a ridge leads to the Capu Gianonne. The ridge to the east leads to the Capu au Corbu. The mountain is a popular hiking destination because of its beautiful views of the Bay of Calvi and the Monte Cinto massif . In winter, the summit is the destination of a ski tour.
