The Monte Ferru (translated: Eisenberg ) is an 875 m high mountain in Sardinia . It is located in the south of the former province of Ogliastra between Tertenia , Cardedu and the hamlet of Marina di Gairo in the municipality of Cardedu.

The view from the summit stretches far over the island, to Monte Serpeddì in the south over Monte Linas on the west coast (south of Guspini) to Monte Tonneri in the central east.

About 50 meters below the summit, to the north, there is a fire protection guard station manned around the clock. For this purpose, a path to the summit was built in 2005, the last section of which is only passable with an off-road vehicle.

Many small streams arise on Monte Ferru, which even in summer carry water.
