Montechoro is a town in Portugal, in the Algarve .

The village belongs to the municipality ( Freguesia ) of Albufeira in the district of the same name ( concelho ) in the district of Faro .

meaning

Montechoro is a well-known vacation spot. A number of hotels and holiday complexes have settled here, and the place is characterized by a lively nightlife. In the 1970s, the fado singer João Braga ran the then famous fado bar O Montinho here .

In football, Montechoro is present as an internationally known training camp, and national and international football matches are also held here. The Portuguese national soccer team played a number of international matches here.
