Monument to Emperors Yan and Huang

The monument of the emperors Yan and Huang on the outskirts of the Chinese provincial capital Zhengzhou is around 106 meters high, making it one of the largest sculptures of all. For example, it towers over the New York Statue of Liberty by around 13 meters. The double bust shows the heads of Yandi and Huangdi , two of China's earliest emperors . The heads themselves are only roughly carved into the rock, the faces more finely carved out. After about 20 years of construction, the monument was completed in 2007.
