Moonee Ponds is a district of the Australian metropolis Melbourne and is located north of the city center (Central Business District) and has 14,250 inhabitants. The district belongs to the Local Government Area Moonee Valley City and there is also the seat of the administration (Council).

The climate there is often a lot better than in the rest of Melbourne. In Moonee Ponds, the best way to get around is by tram ( Metlink ).

history

In Moonee Ponds there is a relatively small, but beautiful shopping street with numerous cafes and shops on Puckle Street.

In the district is also the Queens Park with a small lake with water features, which is a popular meeting place for the residents.

Monee Ponds is located between the Essendon and Ascot Vale districts. The western border is the Maribyrnong River, in the east is the Monee Ponds Creek, on which a popular 25 km long bicycle route leads to the Docklands towards the airport.
