Moonsault Scramble ( Jap. ムーンサルト·スクランブル , Mūnsaruto Sukuramburu ) in Fuji-Q Highland in Japanese Fujiyoshida was Shuttle - steel roller coaster , which opened on June 24, 1983. In 2000 the railway was closed and torn down to make way for Dodonpa .
The 560 m long route, which extended over an area of 180 m × 90 m, reached a height of 70 m and had a 21 m high Pretzel knot . The train was first pulled forward up the lift hill. At the top it was disengaged and backed down the lift hill, through the station, through the Pretzel knot and up a second tower. There was - unlike Boomerang roller coasters - no second lift hill. So the momentum had to be enough to drive through the route one more time - now forwards. As a result, relatively high forces of 6.2 g acted on the passengers on the first pass .
Moonsault Scramble had a train with seven cars. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car.
