Harry Keaton (born April 15, 1969 in Frankfurt am Main as Harald Helmut Kurz ) is a German magician , moderator , glass breaker and author .

biography

education

Keaton studied German language and literature as well as theater, film and television studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . With the help of a scholarship , he studied for a year at Trenton State College ( New Jersey ). At the same time, he completed an internship at the television station CBS ( Columbia Broadcasting System ) in New York . After reporting for various local newspapers, he deepened his journalistic experience at Deutscher Fachverlag . He received his doctorate magna cum laude in 1994 with a linguistic analysis of television commentaries on German reunification .

Artistic work

In 1983 Keaton became a member of the Magic Circle of Germany . A year later he took second place in the comedy magic category at the German championships. His hometown Dreieich awarded him the cultural sponsorship award, as did the Offenbach district . In 1994 he made his debut in front of Prince Charles and King Constantine of Greece . In 1997, Jürgen von der Lippe's show Money or Love voted him the audience favorite. In 2002, Sat.1 broadcast its forecast for the outcome of the federal election . As part of a UNESCO gala, he presented his program to former Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl . In 2006 he correctly predicted the final result of a World Cup on ZDF for the first time . Keaton is committed to the Tannheim after-cancer care clinic with free appearances. He supports the Frankfurt aid organization Streetkids International eV in the project Schools Help Schools . The initiative builds orphanages and schools in Tanzania .
