Morgan Gould (born March 23, 1983 in Johannesburg ) is a South African football player . The defender has been with Supersport United since 2008 .

Career

Gould played in the youth of Wits University and Bedfordview. In 2002 he made his competitive debut with the first division club Jomo Cosmos , for whom he played until relegation from the Premier Soccer League in 2008. During this time, Jomo Cosmos won the Coca-Cola Cup (2002) and the SAA Supa 8 (2005). After the relegation of Cosmos, Gould signed a two-year contract with reigning champions Supersport United , but since his previous club had a valid contract with the defender, a transfer fee was due. In his first season at Supersport, he managed to defend his title in the championship.

Gould made his debut for the South African national team on September 30, 2008 in a friendly against Malawi. In May 2009 he was appointed to the provisional squad for the 2009 Confederations Cup by national coach Joel Santana .
