Mori Masaki

Mori Masaki ( Japanese 真 崎 守 Masaki Mori ; born March 10, 1941 in Yokohama , Japan as Masaru Mori ( 森 柾 , Mori Masaru )) is a Japanese mangaka , animator, screenwriter and director.

Masaki began his career as an animator in 1963 with Mushi Production , where he was involved in Kimba, the white lion . After some more work, he left the studio in 1968 and dedicated himself to his work as a mangaka. In 1979 he returned to film and worked at Studio Madhouse as a director and screenwriter. He directed Natsu e no Tobira and Haguregumo , later the film adaptation of the manga Barefoot by Hiroshima and the science fiction adventure Toki no Tabibito - Time Stranger , for which he also wrote the screenplay. In 1986 Masaki stopped working in film.
