The Moringer Rosenapfel also Rose de Moringen or Möhringer Rosen and shortened Moringer Rosen is an apple variety.
origin
Around 1830 this variety was found in Moringen near Göttingen by the chief magistrate von Hinüber, who passed it on to Johann Georg Conrad Oberdieck in 1857 , who then described the variety in detail in 1869.
tree
The tree grows vigorously, forms a pyramidal crown and bears abundantly. The variety is suitable for training as a high trunk as well as a bush tree.
fruit
The Moringer rose apple is medium to large in size, flat-round and slightly ribbed. The skin is yellow-green, later light yellow, the sunny side is light carmine-red and streaked. The meat is white, fine, fluffy, juicy, with a fine, sour taste. The ripening period is mid-September. The fruits stay in storage for a maximum of four weeks.
