Moritz Ellissen

Moritz Ellissen (born October 6, 1806 in Frankfurt am Main ; † in the 19th century) was a German businessman and politician .

Ellissen, who was of Jewish faith, lived as a merchant in the Free City of Frankfurt . There he was also politically active and in 1852 was a member of the legislative body of the Free City of Frankfurt. After the March Revolution , he had already campaigned for free trade as a board member in the "Association of Representatives of the Trade Stand" . In 1867 he moved to Paris .
