Moritz Jursitzky

Moritz Jursitzky (born January 27, 1861 in Engelsberg ; † August 28, 1936 in Vienna ) was an old Austrian folk writer.

Life

Moritz Jursitzky came from a working-class family in Engelsberg, his father was a master weaver. He was originally a worker himself, but was later able to make a living from his work, among other things because he was supported by the German Schiller Foundation from 1909. He died in Vienna in 1936.
