Moritz Thieme

Moritz Thieme (born May 8, 1799 in Löbau ; † July 20, 1849 in Iserlohn ) was a German bookseller , storyteller and author of books for children and young people .

Life

Thieme studied law in Berlin and Leipzig. He then lived in Wiederau and Dessau . In Ilmenau he had been a right-wing candidate since 1824. In 1829 he published the Barmer Wochenblatt . Most recently he was a bookseller in Iserlohn, where he died in 1849.
