Moritz von Knuth († before 1600 ) was a German bailiff .

Moritz von Knuth came from the Mecklenburg nobility family Knuth . He was the son of Wentzloff von Knuth and his wife Anna, née von Wülschen. His brother was the bailiff of Wredenhagen , Joachim von Knuth . In 1570 Moritz was appointed bailiff of Neukloster , in 1574 he resigned from office and entered the service of Karl I. In 1590 he founded the church of Neukloster. Moritz was considered a learned man.

Marriage and offspring

Moritz von Knuth married a von Freyberg († around 1608). The children Wentzel, Maria, Dorothea, Engel and Lucia came from the marriage.
