Morne aux Diables is the volcanic mountain range in the northwest of the island state of Dominica . Morne aux Diables only reaches a height of 860 m , but is the mountain that dominates the landscape and shapes the headland.
geography
The mountain is located in the extreme northwest of the country in the area of the parishes Saint John and Saint Andrew (with the secondary summit Bellevue Mountain , 600 m ). further small offshoots are Morne Brulés and Morne Destinée in the south . The volcanism is still recognizable through the Cold Sulfur Springs . Numerous streams arise in the slopes of the mountain, including the Bell Hall River , Lamothe River , Aouya River with the Bwa Nef Falls and Balthazar River . The most important settlements in the area are Morne Soleil , Vieillee Case and Paix Bouche .
