Morris operation

Morris Operation in Grundy County , Illinois , United States , is a highly radioactive spent nuclear fuel disposal facility . Owned by GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and located near Morris, Illinois , it currently contains 772 tons of waste. The location is immediately southwest of the Dresden power plant . Spent, spent nuclear fuel are far reactor there in cooling ponds kept. The storage basin of the Morris Operation Camp contains high-level radioactive waste from the Haddam Neck , Cooper , Dresden (Illinois), Monticello and San Onofre nuclear power plants .
