Mosaik - magazine for literature and culture (own spelling: mosaik) is a German-language literary magazine . It has been published in Salzburg since 2012 and by Edition Mosaik since 2016 .

Mosaik magazine mainly publishes young authors, primarily German-language poetry and prose . In the section "BABEL", foreign-language texts have been published in the original and in the German translation since issue 16 (2015). The "cultural scene" section contains a loose series of reviews, interviews, comments, columns and portraits.
Until 2016, the magazine appeared four times a year, since 2017 with three issues a year. In addition, events are organized in Salzburg and elsewhere and texts are published online.
Mosaik is or was published by Josef Kirchner (issue 1-), Alexander Macho (issue 1-3) and Sarah Oswald (issue 1-).

For the first few years, Mosaik was self- published, and Edition Mosaik was founded in 2016 . In addition to the magazine, individual publications by young authors as well as anthologies and specialist publications appear there.
layout
The first issue of the magazine Mosaik appeared in January 2012 under the name "Mosaik - magazine for literature and culture, by and for students" with an edition of 1000 copies. In 2015 a design relaunch was carried out, which gave the magazine its current appearance. Since then it has been published with 64–80 pages, perfect-bound, in the format 210 × 270 mm with full-color printing and 1500 copies. The cover is always determined by an alienated photograph.
