Moses Solomonovich Nappelbaum ( Russian Моисей Соломонович Наппельбаум ; born December 14 . Jul / 26. December  1869 greg. In Minsk ; † 13. June 1958 in Moscow ) was a Russian photographer .

Life

In November 1918, Nappelbaum created a photomontage entitled “Leader of the Proletarian Revolution”: It shows Lenin , Zinoviev , Lunacharsky , Trotsky , Kamenev and Sverdlov . In the same year he made one of the most famous portraits of Lenin, which was sold in the millions.

Moses Nappelbaum was the father of Frederika, Ida (a writer and photographer), Lilya (a poet and literary critic), Olga and Lew Nappelbaum.
