Moshe Schnitzer

Moshe Schnitzer (* 1921 in Chernivtsi , Greater Romania ; † August 16, 2007 ) was an Israeli entrepreneur and diamond dealer.

Life

In 1934, Schnitzer emigrated from what was then Romania to Israel. He studied history and philosophy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . He worked in the diamond trade. Schnitzer was President of the Israel Diamond Exchange from 1967 to 1993. Together with his son Shmuel Schnitzer , he founded the company M. Schnitzer & Co. in 1960. His grandson is the entrepreneur Dan Gertler .
