Most nezavisnih lista
Most nezavisnih lista , abbreviated: MOST , German: Bridge of Independent Lists , is a liberal-conservative party in Croatia that was founded in 2012. Božo Petrov is the founder and chairman . The party formed a government coalition with the HDZ from January to October 2016. Since then she has been in the opposition.
history
MOST was founded on November 17, 2012 in Metković as a regional political platform. In 2013 the list ran there in local elections and won 9 of 17 places on the city council with 46.25 percent of the vote. Božo Petrov came in the mayoral elections in the runoff against the mayor Stipo Gabrić Jambo , who has been in office since 1997, and won it with 67.94 percent. In the regional elections MOST reached 9.97 percent and thus came into the parliament of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County .
The party ran nationally for the 2015 parliamentary elections in Croatia . As the new “third force”, it achieved 19 seats, which was not to be expected from any previous forecast. It thus became indispensable for everyone else as a coalition partner or majority funder. The exploratory talks with the two major electoral alliances "Patriotic Coalition" (Domoljubna koalicija, DK), led by the conservative Hrvatska demokratska zajednica (HDZ) and the coalition " Hrvatska raced " (German: "Croatia is growing"), led by the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP ) led to an ordeal within the party. Finally, in January 2016, there was a coalition with the HDZ and entry into the government under Tihomir Orešković . In this party chairman Božo Petrov acted as deputy prime minister; in addition, Most provided the Minister of Economics and the Environment.
In the early parliamentary elections in September 2016 , Most fell to 9.9% of the vote and 13 seats in the Sabor . Božo Petrov was then elected President of the Croatian Parliament, and he held the office until May 2017. However, the party has been in opposition since then. In the 2019 European elections , Most failed with 4.7% of the entry hurdle.
